Q: What is the difference between air-dried food and wet food?
A: ZIWI® PEAK air-dried and wet food have the same basics: they are both rich in New Zealand meat and low in carbohydrates.
The main difference is the moisture content: ZIWI® PEAK air-dried food has a moisture content of up to 14%, while wet food has a moisture content of up to 78%. Whether you choose air-dried or wet food (or both), you are getting a complete and nutritional diet your pet will love!

Q: Do ZIWI® Peak recipes need to be frozen, refrigerated or rehydrated?
A: ZIWI® Peak's unique two-step air drying process makes it a nutritious, ready-to-eat food that can be stored at room temperature without the need for rehydration, freezing or refrigeration. If frozen or refrigerated food is left at room temperature, moisture will condense on the surface of the food, allowing bacteria and mold to grow.
ZIWI® air-dried recipes should be kept sealed in the original packaging, stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and used within 8 weeks of opening. If you feed your pet with ZIWI® Peak Water, we recommend discarding any leftover food within 4 hours to minimize the risk of microbial growth.
