Rethinking Immunity

What is immunity?

Is is the body's power to fight, and the ability to distinguish between what is good and what is harmful.

We humans also try to take in proper nutrition.
And when we eat something spoiled, our bodies react by vomiting or having diarrhea to expel it.
That's because our immune system recognizes what's harmful and fights it off.

When immunity is balanced, the body can absorb the good and eliminate the bad, all through its own strength. This shows how vital immunity is for maintaining good health.

Supporting and strengthening immunity, that is one of the most important things we can do for our beloved family members.

For Maintaining Energy and Good Health

Immunity is essential for maintaining vitality and overall health.

As pets grow older, their immune function naturally declines. A lack of exercise, unbalanced nutrition, or hormonal changes can also weaken immunity.

This applies not only to dogs and cats but also to humans, immunity plays and indispensable role in staying healthy and energetic.

The important time is while they are still well, "Now".
When your dog or cat enters their senior years and you begin to worry about their health, we encourage you to think about it seriously. Most poeple don't pay attention while their pets are still young and healthy, I was the same.

Many owners start giving supplements only when they feel there's nothing more than can do. Of course, even then, we often hear voices saying, "Thanks to supplements, my pet can spend their days more peacefully"

However, when eating itself becomes difficult, giving supplements can also be a challenge. This may place a burden not only on the pet, but also on the owner.

That's why instead of thinking, "They're still healthy, so it's fine", we recommend starting while they're healthy now.

Rethinking the importance of immunity

A Supplement Cultivated from Japan-Grown Cordyceps

Cordy is a supplement made from cultivated Japanese-grown natural Cordyceps.
It helps maintain the health and immunity of dogs and cats from puppy and kittenhood through their senior years.

DNA identification testing at the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, The largest microbiology research institute in China, has proven that it has 100% identical DNA to strains isolated from Cordyceps grown in Yunnan and Tibet.

Reliable Quality, Proven Through Rigorous Safety Testing

Manufacturing is carried out consistently, from cultivation to bottling, at factories compliant with health food GMP standards. Safety tests are conducted at GLP-certified institutions to ensure product safety.
In addition, regular DNA testing is performed to verify that Cordyceps fungi are being properly cultivated.
Because mushrooms are known to be easily contaminated by radiation, regular radiation testing is also conducted.

Trusted and Recommended by Veterinarians

Cordy is used in over 300 veterinary clinics nationwide.
It is also recommended by many well-known veterinarians, including Dr. Arai, Director of Ai Animal Hospital, so you can use it with confidence.

Choosing the Right Cordy: Two Options

For dogs with rapid breathing or a history of seizures, choose「Cordy M (blue)」.
For cats and dogs other than short-nosed breeds, choose「Cordy G (with organic germanium) (orange)」.

If you expect to have a relatively long time together, we recommend Cordy G.
If your pet’s body temperature rises and breathing becomes slightly rapid, gently cool under the armpits with an ice pack to help them settle down.
※ For pets with a history of seizures, Cordy G may cause faster breathing, so we recommend using Cordy M as a precaution.

For Pets Sensitive to Taste or with Poor Appetite

When sprinkled over food, some pets that are sensitive to taste may lose interest or refuse to eat.
In that case, measure out a day’s portion of Cordy, add a little water, and knead it into a paste. Form 5–7 small balls and give one directly every 2–3 hours.
You can apply it to the roof of the mouth, place it gently in the back of the cheek, or hide it in strongly scented food. Some owners also mix it with treats like *Churu* to make it easier to give.

Sometimes, when the owner puts it in their mouth and says, “Delicious!” the pet feels reassured and will eat it too.
Give it a try.

Because Our Beloved Family Deserves the Best

The only GMP-certified product among “Cordyceps supplements.”

In Japan, pharmaceuticals are required to comply with GMP standards, but supplements are not. However, at Monolith, we carry out the entire process—from cultivation to bottling—in our own factory that follows health food GMP standards, ensuring we deliver safe and reliable products to our customers.

Among domestically produced Cordyceps supplements, Monolith’s products are the only ones consistently manufactured under GMP standards from cultivation through final production.

We also conduct many other safety tests:
● Acute toxicity test
● Subacute toxicity test
● Ames test (mutagenicity test: checks for genetic abnormalities)
● Genetic toxicity and other safety tests
● Regular DNA identification tests to confirm strain consistency
(to verify that the cultivated Cordyceps is identical to the original strain)
● Regular radiation testing
(when exporting overseas, certification is required to show products are free from radioactive contamination)

Recommended by Veterinarians

Cordy is used in over 300 veterinary hospitals across Japan.

📢 Message from the Director 📢

The wonderful thing about Cordy is that it can be given immediately after surgery.

Our hospital receives requests for difficult surgeries from all over Japan. When providing treatment, our top priorities are reducing pain in dogs and cats, while also doing our utmost for curable conditions.

The great advantage of Cordy is that it can be given right after surgery, helping pets stay strong and maintain their energy even when facing serious illness. Since discovering Cordy, the scope of our treatment options has expanded. I recommend Cordy so that families can spend more quality time with their beloved pets.

💡Frequently Asked Questions about Cordy💡

Q: What kind of supplement is Cordy?

A: It is a supplement that supports the health of dogs and cats. As pets get older, their immunity naturally declines, but Cordy helps maintain health, energy, and appetite. It is also recommended for pets that are frail, not only seniors.
Even if your pet has conditions such as tumors, lymphoma, melanoma, sarcoma, FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), FIV, or FeLV, Cordy can be safely used alongside chemotherapy, steroids, or antibiotics.

Q: Can all pets take it?

A: Immunity is essential for the health of both humans and pets. Try it for about a month and check changes in condition and test results. Cordy has cleared rigorous safety tests, so there are no concerns about side effects.
It can be safely given not only for maintaining the health of already healthy pets, but also to seniors whose energy and appetite are declining, and to those who are frail or prone to illness.

Q: Does Cordy contain preservatives or additives?

A: Additives can affect the immune system, so Cordy contains no preservatives, flavors, masking agents, sweeteners, or sugars. No coloring, curing agents, or bleaching agents are used to increase volume or improve appearance.

Q: Has the safety been verified?

A: Yes. Cordy has passed acute toxicity tests, subacute toxicity tests, Ames tests, and genetic toxicity tests. Veterinarians who use Cordy have also reported no safety concerns.

Q: What is Cordyceps?

A: Cordyceps is a fungus that parasitizes insects. Hundreds of related species have been identified worldwide. Cordyceps has a long history, said to have been used by Emperor Qin Shi Huang and Yang Guifei. At Monolith, our staff collect and culture wild Cordyceps found in Japan, which are then used to produce Cordy supplements.

Q: Are all Cordyceps supplements the same?

A: No, their effectiveness varies depending on the type of Cordyceps, freshness of the strain, and cultivation methods. At Monolith, we culture Cordyceps in our own GMP-compliant factory, and many usage reports have been documented. Research findings can be viewed at the “Cordy Laboratory.”

※ As of April 2019, Monolith’s Cordyceps supplements are the only domestically produced products consistently manufactured under GMP standards from cultivation through final production.

Q: I’m worried about the taste, smell, and whether my pet will eat it.

A:
For dogs: It is not completely tasteless or odorless, but it does not have the bitterness or astringency of traditional Chinese medicines. Although it contains no added flavorings, most dogs eat it easily when mixed with food. If appetite is low, suspend it in water and use a dropper to feed directly.

For cats: Cats can be more sensitive, so it may take a little more effort. In that case, divide the daily dose into small portions, add a little water, knead into small balls (e.g., 7 if given 7 times per day), and apply to the roof of the mouth or gently place inside the cheek pouch. Alternatively, start with 1/10 of the daily dose to get them accustomed, or give directly with a dropper. Some owners mix it with bonito flakes, a little honey or milk, or wrap it in wet food. Others use syringes, edible capsules, or oblate paper.

Q: How much should I give?

A: For general health maintenance, the daily guideline is 0.04–0.4 g per kg of body weight. Give as much as possible within this range. For senior pets or virus carriers, provide at least 0.1 g per kg of body weight per day.

Q: Can it be used with medications or other supplements?

A: Yes, there are no problems. Many pets take Cordy together with chemotherapy or steroids. Your veterinarian may advise against mixing supplements with medication, but you can explain that Cordy has undergone multiple safety tests. The only precaution: if your pet is taking adsorbents used in kidney failure treatment (such as activated charcoal, NephGuard, or Kremezin), give Cordy at least 1 hour apart.
